Workshop on Short Story Writing
A workshop titled “சிறுகதையும் சிந்தனைக் களமும்” ( workshop on contemplative interpretation of short stories) was conducted by the Tamil Department of J.K.K. Nataraja College of Arts and Science, Komarapalayam on September 19, 2025. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ creative writing skills.
Key Highlights:
- Dr. S. Uma, Head of the Tamil Department, delivered the welcome address.
- Captain Nalini, Principal of the college, honored the special guest,Dr M. Karuppusamy, Head of the Tamil Department, Gobi Arts and science College, with a ponnadai (honorary cloak).
- Dr.M. Karuppusamy delivered a lecture on short story writing, providing valuable insights and guidance to students.
- Students participated in a writing exercise, crafting one-page short stories that showcased their creativity.
- The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. A.R. Sathyaprakash, Vice President of the Tamil Literary Association.
The event helped students develop their creative writing skills and provided a platform for them to express themselves.
