Freshers' Day & Induction Programme 2026
J.K.K. Nataraja College of Arts & Science (Autonomous) successfully organized the Freshers' Day & Induction Programme 2026 on 24 June 2026 at Vibrant Arangam , extending a warm and enthusiastic welcome to the newly admitted learners and their parents. The programme was thoughtfully designed to familiarize freshers with the institution's academic environment, culture, values, and support systems while helping them transition smoothly into college life. The event commenced with a warm welcome address, followed by a prayer song and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom. The Presidential Address inspired students to embrace learning with dedication, integrity, and a vision for excellence. A specially curated audio-visual presentation provided an overview of the college's state-of-the-art infrastructure, academic programmes, research initiatives, placement achievements, student support services, and vibrant campus life, offering learners a comprehensive introduction to the institution. A key highlight of the programme was the motivational session by the Learner Celebrity , who shared inspiring personal experiences and practical insights on adapting to college life, setting meaningful career goals, developing leadership qualities, and making the most of the opportunities available during the academic journey. The event was further enlivened by a series of energetic and colourful cultural performances presented by senior learners, creating an engaging atmosphere that encouraged interaction, friendship, and a strong sense of belonging among the newcomers. To strengthen the connection between students and the institution, the Heads of Departments and key administrative members were formally introduced, enabling freshers and their parents to become familiar with the academic leadership and various learner support services. The programme concluded with the National Anthem, marking the successful completion of a memorable and meaningful induction experience. Overall, the event reflected the institution's commitment to providing a learner-centric environment that nurtures academic excellence, holistic development, and lifelong learning, while ensuring that every fresher begins their educational journey with confidence, motivation, and a strong sense of belonging to the J.K.K. family.

PULSE 2K26, the New Year Cultural Celebration, was successfully organized by JKKN College of Arts & Science (Autonomous) on 31st December 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Vibrant Arangam. The event marked the joyful welcome of the New Year 2026 and created an energetic and festive atmosphere on campus. Industrial Visit to SPAC Starch India
The Department of Physics and Microbiology, JKKN College of Arts & Science (Autonomous), organized an Industrial Visit to SPAC Starch India, Ammappettai, on 10 December 2025 to provide practical industrial exposure to students. The visit enabled learners to gain firsthand knowledge of starch manufacturing processes, quality control mechanisms, laboratory testing procedures, and safety protocols followed in a large-scale industrial setup. Students from Physics and Microbiology observed the application of scientific principles in process control, instrumentation, microbial quality analysis, and waste management systems. Interaction with industry experts enhanced students’ understanding of industrial operations, technological applications, and career opportunities in manufacturing and allied sectors. The industrial visit effectively bridged the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world industrial practices, making it an informative and enriching learning experience.

Knowledge Meets Industry – MoU Day
JKKN College of Arts & Science (Autonomous) successfully organized “Knowledge Meets Industry – MoU Day” on 24.12.2025 at Vibrant Arangam with the objective of strengthening industry–academia collaboration. The programme brought together eminent industry experts including Mr. S. Alaudeen Basha, Director, ALBN Securities Private Limited, Chennai; Dr. K. V. Pradeepkumar, Managing Director, Guru Enviro Tech, Erode; Mr. Kumaresan Thangavel, Founder & Director, Bluestone Group of Institutions, Coimbatore; and Er. R. Elavarasan, Managing Director, Pranav Solutions, Krishnagiri. DrapeFlix–2025
The Department of Textile and Fashion Designing, JKKN College of Arts & Science (Autonomous) – Self Finance, successfully organized “DrapeFlix–2025” , an International Saree Day Celebration and Saree Drape Competition, on 22.12.2025 at Vibrant Arangam. The event aimed to celebrate the cultural richness, versatility, and timeless elegance of the Indian saree while reviving interest among students through creative and traditional draping styles. Learners from Arts and Science disciplines actively participated, showcasing regional draping techniques and innovative interpretations that blended tradition with contemporary fashion. The programme enhanced students’ practical understanding of fabric behavior, pleating, silhouette formation, creativity, confidence, and presentation skills, while fostering appreciation for cultural heritage and sustainable fashion practices. Coordinated by Mrs. S. Sri Tharunya and Mr. G. Arul Kumar, the event received highly positive feedback from participants, highlighting effective organization, engaging themes, and valuable experiential learning, making DrapeFlix–2025 a meaningful and enriching cultural–academic initiative.

Hands-on Training Workshop
The School of Computing, JKKN College of Arts & Science (Autonomous), successfully organized a one-day Hands-on Training Workshop titled “Hands-on Practice” on 09 December 2025 at the Engineering Lab from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM . The workshop focused on automation of replies with knowledge base (FAQ) implementation for social media handling and designing automation workflows for SaaS platforms . The programme aimed to enhance students’ technical skills by providing practical exposure to AI-driven automation, chatbot frameworks, prompt engineering, and deployment tools. Through real-time demonstrations and hands-on activities, students gained experience in building functional AI chatbots, creating custom workflows, and understanding NLP-based interactions. The workshop supported core curriculum areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Python Programming, and Machine Learning, while also improving learners’ problem-solving abilities, logical reasoning, and industry readiness. The event was effectively organized with the support of faculty coordinators, technical staff, and student volunteers, making it a valuable learning experience for the participants.

FINE ARTS ASSOCIATION 2025–2026
The Fine Arts Association Competitions 2025–2026 were successfully organized by the Fine Arts Association, J.K.K. Nataraja College of Arts & Science (Autonomous), from 08.12.2025 to 12.12.2025 at Senthurajaa Hall and in front of the Arts Block, between 10.00 AM and 4.00 PM. The program was conducted as an Inter-Department Cultural & Creativity Competition, with active participation from students of all departments. A wide variety of events such as Rangoli, Mehandi, Pot Painting, Cooking Without Fire, Best from Waste, Show and Tell, Solo and Group Singing, Solo and Group Dance, Fashion Parade, Stand-Up Comedy, Music Around You, Vibe 2.0, and Reels – “Vetri Nichayam” were organized. These events provided an excellent platform for students to showcase their artistic, cultural, performance-based, and digital creative skills. The competitions encouraged creativity, confidence, teamwork, and innovation among students while also promoting eco-friendly practices and digital literacy. Events like Best from Waste and Cooking Without Fire created awareness about sustainability and life skills, whereas digital events enhanced modern media and presentation skills. The program was effectively coordinated by Dr. S. Gokila, Assistant Professor & Head, Commerce, and Mrs. U. Umarani, Assistant Professor & Head, BBA, with strong support from faculty members, student volunteers, and administrative staff. Publicity was carried out through notices, posters, and class announcements. Overall, the Fine Arts Competitions 2025–2026 concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation and positive feedback, enriching campus cultural life and fostering holistic student development beyond academics.

HANDS-ON SECURITIES MARKET BOOTCAMP: FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE
The Department of Commerce (CA), JKKN College of Arts & Science (Autonomous), successfully organized the Hands-On Securities Market Bootcamp: From Theory to Practice on 01-12-2025 at Senthuraja Hall from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, featuring Dr. K. Prabhakaran, a renowned SEBI Securities Market Trainer and Director of Edify EdTech, Coimbatore, as the resource person. The bootcamp provided an in-depth and practical learning experience for students, offering real-time demonstrations of trading platforms, stock screeners, and market analysis tools, along with clear explanations of SEBI regulations, investor protection mechanisms, and risk-management strategies. Students participated enthusiastically in mock trading, scenario-based activities, and interactive discussions that helped them understand order types, settlement cycles, market indices, and various investment concepts with clarity. The session effectively combined technology, practical simulations, and SEBI-approved learning materials to enhance financial literacy and analytical skills among the participants. This event significantly contributed to strengthening students’ confidence in interpreting live market data, making informed financial decisions, and exploring career pathways in investment advisory, financial analysis, brokerage, and capital market research. The Department of Microbiology of JKKN College of Arts & Science (Autonomous) organized the Microbiology Association Inaugural Function titled BIOTRAKZ 21’25 on 7th October 2025 at Senthuraja Hall. The STYLITEX 2025 Association Inaugural Programme and Two Days Fashion Artistry Workshop was a vibrant and inspiring celebration of creativity, innovation, and craftsmanship. The event began with a formal inauguration ceremony graced by Mrs. Meenakshi Venkatesh, Director, Meenakshi School of Fine Arts, Erode , who motivated the learners with her insights on blending traditional artistry with modern design aesthetics. The sessions featured live demonstrations on fashion illustration, surface ornamentation, draping, and garment styling , which captivated the audience and encouraged active participation. Learners enthusiastically engaged in hands-on activities, experimenting with textures, colors, and design elements to create unique artistic expressions. Association Inaugural Function “GRAVITA 2K25” along with an Orientation Program on “Opportunities & Growth in Medical Coding” on 19th September 2025 at Senthuraja Hall. The event was graced by the presence of the chief guest Mr. P. Logeshwaran , General Manager & Trainer, Thought Flows Medical Coding Academy, Salem. The inaugural began with the lighting of the lamp and invocation, followed by the welcome address and presidential remarks. The newly elected office bearers of the Physics Association took their oath of responsibility, and the official association logo was unveiled, marking the commencement of departmental activities for the academic year. In his expert session, Mr. Logeshwaran highlighted the vast career scope in medical coding, emphasizing essential skills like accuracy, adaptability, and communication. His talk provided students with practical insights into industry expectations and global opportunities in the healthcare documentation sector. The interactive Q&A session saw enthusiastic student participation, making the event highly engaging and informative. Workshop on Short Story Writing
Workshop on Short Story Writing A workshop titled “சிறுகதையும் சிந்தனைக் களமும்” ( workshop on contemplative interpretation of short stories) was conducted by the Tamil Department of J.K.K. Nataraja College of Arts and Science, Komarapalayam on September 19, 2025. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ creative writing skills. Key Highlights: Dr. S. Uma, Head of the Tamil Department, delivered the welcome address. Captain Nalini, Principal of the college, honored the special guest,Dr M. Karuppusamy, Head of the Tamil Department, Gobi Arts and science College, with a ponnadai (honorary cloak). Dr.M. Karuppusamy delivered a lecture on short story writing, providing valuable insights and guidance to students. Students participated in a writing exercise, crafting one-page short stories that showcased their creativity. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. A.R. Blood Donation Camp
J.K.K. Nataraja College of Arts and Science successfully organized a blood donation camp in collaboration with the Government Blood Bank, Tiruchengode, on September 19, 2025. The event took place at 10:00 a.m. in the Nursing College Block. Key Highlights Inauguration : The program commenced with faculties donating blood, setting an inspiring example for the students. Student Participation : Over 60 students enthusiastically participated in the blood donation drive, showcasing their commitment to social responsibility. Collaboration : The event was organized in association with the Government Blood Bank, Tiruchengode, ensuring the collected blood would be utilized effectively to save lives. Objective The primary objective of the camp was to collect blood for patients in need while promoting awareness about the importance of blood donation among students and faculty members. Outcome The blood donation camp was a huge success, with a significant number of students and faculty members participating in the event. The collected blood will be used to support patients in hospitals, contributing to the community’s healthcare needs.

World Ozone Day
The Eco-Club of the Department of Zoology and Youth Red Cross (YRC) successfully organized “World Ozone Day” an environmental awareness programme in commemoration of the signing of the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer in 1987. The event aimed to educate students on ozone layer depletion, climate change, and their interconnected impacts on the environment. Student participation was a core component of the programme. Social justice day 2025
The NSS Unit I & II of J.K.K. Nataraja College of Arts and Science organized a Social Justice Day pledge event for all teaching and non-teaching staff members on September 17, 2025, commemorating the 147th birth anniversary of Thanthai Periyar. A total of 70 staff members, comprising 43 teaching and 27 non-teaching staff, participated in the initiative. Periyar, born on September 17, 1879, was a pioneering social activist and politician who championed social justice, equality, and rationality. The event aimed to promote social justice, equality, and solidarity among staff members, reaffirming their commitment to fairness and inclusivity. Faculty Development Programme on Outcome Based Education
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of JKK Nataraja College of Arts & Science (Autonomous) successfully organised a Faculty Development Programme on “Outcome Based Education” on 13 September 2025 at Senthurraja Hall. Principal Capt. Dr. M. Nalini delivered the felicitation address, highlighting the importance of aligning teaching with measurable learning outcomes. The inaugural session featured Dr. A. Selvalakshmi, Associate Professor of English, Sri Sarada College for Women, Salem, who presented on “Taxonomies for Effective Outcome Based Teaching and Learning.” Session Highlights Session I – Dr. A. Selvalakshmi: Explained how Bloom’s and Fink’s taxonomies can guide faculty in designing clear learning outcomes and assessments. Session II – Dr. S. V. Ramesh: Illustrated practical strategies and institutional initiatives that drive quality outcomes and continuous improvement in higher education. Session III – Dr. T. Shanthi: Inspired faculty to rediscover their own potential as teachers and to cultivate reflective practices that enhance student learning. Session IV – Dr. S. Umavathi: Detailed the flow of the autonomous evaluation process, clarifying procedures for assessment and quality assurance within the college. Objectives - To deepen faculty understanding of Outcome Based Education and its pedagogical and assessment frameworks. - To familiarise teachers with educational taxonomies for effective course design. - To share best practices in evaluation, quality assurance and learner-centred teaching. - To motivate faculty to integrate measurable learning outcomes into curriculum and teaching practices. Outcomes - Around 100 in-house faculty members actively participated in the programme. - Faculty members gained clear insights into OBE principles and the use of taxonomies for framing learning objectives and assessments. - The sessions highlighted institutional best practices that can strengthen quality outcomes across departments. - Participants were encouraged to adopt reflective and evidence-based teaching practices. - The FDP reinforced the IQAC’s mission to align teaching–learning processes with national quality benchmarks. - The programme was widely appreciated by the participants as highly relevant and professionally enriching, and it significantly contributed to strengthening the culture of quality enhancement across the institution.

The Department of Visual Communication of JKKN College of Arts & Science (Autonomous) successfully inaugurated its association event “PIXEL PULSE 2025” on 26th August 2025 at Senthuraja Hall. The program marked a vibrant beginning to the academic year’s activities with enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and special invitees. The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. R.D. Aikilan, B.Sc., Assistant Cinematographer in the Tamil Film Industry, who shared his professional journey, experiences in cinematography, and valuable insights about the growing opportunities in the field of visual media. His motivational address inspired the students to explore their creativity, stay updated with emerging technologies, and pursue excellence in the visual communication industry. The inaugural function featured engaging sessions, interactive discussions, and presentations that highlighted the significance of creativity, storytelling, and technical skills in shaping future media professionals. The Department of Business Administration of JKKN College of Arts & Science (Autonomous) – Self Finance , Komarapalayam, organized its Association Inaugural Function ASTITVA on 14th August 2025 at Senthuraja Hall from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The program was graced by Dr. R. Lavanya, BE., MBA, Ph.D., Founder – Towels World, Erode , who delivered an inspiring lecture on the topic “AI Powered – Opportunities & Challenges” , highlighting the intersection of entrepreneurship and modern technology. The event began with the official inauguration and logo launch of the association, followed by the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected office bearers, which instilled a sense of leadership and responsibility among the students. The Chief Guest’s address provided valuable entrepreneurial insights and created awareness of AI-driven opportunities, while the interactive Q&A session enabled students to clarify their doubts and gain practical knowledge. The program saw 100% participation from students of BBA, B.Com CA, and B.Sc across all years , along with the presence of respected faculty members including Dr. M.P. Poongulale, Vice Principal, Mrs. M. Umarani, HOD, Dr. M. Palanisamy, Mrs. P. Mathiananthi, and Mr. A.K. Prithiviraja . Students appreciated the real-life entrepreneurial experiences shared, and faculty emphasized the relevance of the session in bridging theory with practice. Awareness Rally Organized by NSS, ADC, and NCC Units
On August 20, 2025, the NSS units, Anti-Drug Club, and NCC of J.K.K. Nataraja College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Komarapalayam, successfully organized an awareness rally from the college to Vattamalai. The rally was flagged off by our Managing Director Mr. S.Ommsharravana and Principal, Capt. Dr. M. Nalini , and covered a distance of over one kilometer. More than 150 students from NSS, ADC, and NCC, along with faculty members and the Physical Director, participated enthusiastically in the rally. The event aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and promote a drug-free society. The rally demonstrated the college’s commitment to community engagement and social responsibility. It provided an opportunity for students to take an active role in promoting social awareness and develop a sense of responsibility towards building a healthy society. We congratulate the NSS, ADC, and NCC units for organizing this impactful event and look forward to more such initiatives in the future.

The NSS unit of our college proudly celebrated International Youth Day on 12th August 2025 . The highlight of the event was an inspiring special address by Dr. S. Uma, Head of the Department of Tamil , who motivated the youth to take active roles in national development through her impactful talk “இளைஞனே எழுந்து வா” . As part of the program, a Short Film Competition on “Anti-Drug Awareness” was organized, where students showcased their creativity and strong social message through thought-provoking films. The event was graced by Dr. C. Bharathi and Dr. V. Radhamani , NSS Programme Officers, who welcomed the gathering and expressed their gratitude to all the participants. Their guidance and encouragement made the program a grand success.

Celebrating the 79th Independence Day at Our College
Our college proudly celebrated India’s 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm, patriotism, and unity. The day served as a tribute to the countless freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for our nation’s independence, and a reminder of our responsibility to uphold the values they stood for. The celebration began with the hoisting of the national flag by our respected Principal, Capt. Dr. M. Nalini . As the Tiranga unfurled, the air was filled with pride and devotion, reminding everyone of the courage, resilience, and unity that built our great nation. The national anthem was sung in unison, instilling a strong sense of patriotism and togetherness among students, faculty, and staff. Following the flag hoisting, our Principal addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech, highlighting the importance of freedom, discipline, and responsibility in shaping the future of our country. She emphasized how students, as the torchbearers of tomorrow, should work towards innovation, integrity, and nation-building. The event also featured cultural performances by students, including patriotic songs, dances, and skits that showcased India’s journey of independence and its rich cultural heritage. These performances not only brought vibrance to the event but also deepened the sense of respect and gratitude for our nation’s history. The celebration concluded with a pledge to uphold the values of freedom, equality, and unity while contributing positively to society. HANDLOOM VAIBHAV – 2025
The Department of Textile and Fashion Designing at JKKN College of Arts & Science (Autonomous), Komarapalayam, successfully organized Handloom Vaibhav – 2025 on 24th July 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Multidisciplinary Hall, in observance of National Handloom Day . The event, themed “Fashion Walk for Empowering Weavers,” aimed to celebrate India’s rich handloom heritage and address the pressing challenges faced by the handloom sector, such as reduced market access and competition from mechanized textiles. Targeting students from all years of the Textile and Fashion Designing department, the event created a dynamic space for learning, appreciation, and advocacy of sustainable fashion. A key highlight of the program was a vibrant handloom fashion walk by students, which beautifully showcased the craftsmanship and cultural richness of traditional Indian weaves. Esteemed guest speaker Prof. Dr. S. Sangeetha , a logistic expert, psychologist, and founder of Deepmind & IVVA Cosmetic Academy, delivered an insightful address that explored the intersections of sustainability, empowerment, and market strategy in the handloom industry. Participants gained valuable understanding of the economic and cultural importance of handlooms, sustainable design practices, and innovative fashion platforms to uplift weaver communities. Feedback collected from students and faculty highlighted the program’s effectiveness, with praise for the speaker and the fashion walk presentation. Suggestions for future events included the incorporation of more interactive segments and the direct involvement of local handloom artisans. Looking ahead, the department plans to initiate collaborative student-weaver projects, conduct workshops on weaving techniques, and create a marketplace for handloom products. Handloom Vaibhav – 2025 was a successful initiative that reaffirmed JKKN’s commitment to cultural preservation, sustainable education, and social empowerment.

World Population Day 2025: Essay Writing Competition In observance of World Population Day 2025, the NSS units I and II of J.K.K. Nataraja College of Arts and Science (Autonomous) organized an essay writing competition on 11/07/2025 from 11.a.m. to 12 p.m. at our college library to create awareness about the pressing issues related to global population growth. Event Highlights Topic: “Raise in Global Population and Its Related Issues” Participation: Around 40 students actively participated in the competition Objective: To raise awareness about the challenges and consequences of rapid population growth and to encourage students to think critically about potential solutions. World Population Day World Population Day is observed annually on July 11th to highlight the issues related to global population growth and its impact on the environment, economy, and society. The day aims to raise awareness about the importance of population stabilization and sustainable development. The Ārambhah ‘25 Freshers’ Day Inaugural Programme was successfully held on 27th June 2025 at 10:00 AM in the Vibrant Arangam at J.K.K.Nataraja College of Arts and Science (Autonomous). DAZZLE 2025 – FRESHERS DAY CELEBRATION
The Freshers Day celebration, titled DAZZLE 2025 , was held on 7th July 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Multi-Disciplinary Block of JKKN College of Arts and Science, Komarapalayam. Organized with the theme “Glow Up & Show Up,” the event served as a vibrant platform to officially welcome the newly admitted students into the JKKN family. The program began with a warm and cheerful reception for the freshers and dignitaries, including the Secretary, Director, Joint Managing Director, CEO, COO, and CAO, whose esteemed presence added prestige and inspiration to the occasion. A heartfelt tribute was paid to the Vice Principal, whose dedication and support played a pivotal role in organizing the event. The hosts, Karjith and Madhulegha, set an enthusiastic tone as they welcomed the faculty, coordinators, volunteers, and students. The Department of Commerce ceremoniously unveiled the opening banner, symbolizing the formal induction of the new batch. The event transitioned into a rich cultural showcase, beginning with a traditional Silambam performance by Kishore and Desika, displaying strength and heritage. This was followed by a dynamic group dance by Kamali and team, a graceful performance by Dhanaseelan and his group, and a high-energy ramp walk by TFD students that celebrated style and confidence. The celebration continued with a melodious group song by III BCA students, a vibrant dance by Dharshini and her II CS team, and another Silambam act by Praveen from AI&DS, representing the passion of the new entrants. The stage further came alive with a rap performance by S. Vigneswaran and Srichandran, and a colorful group dance by the II Microbiology students led by Kiruba. A soulful group song by Priyadharshini and team, a captivating solo dance by Rudra Murthy, a spirited dance by Sakthi and team from I BCA, and a special act by R. Mohanasundaram from III Bachelor of Commerce (CA) continued to elevate the celebration. The grand finale featured a power-packed solo dance by Sowreesh Guhan, after which the stage was opened for all enthusiastic first-year students to dance freely and joyfully, expressing their excitement and bonding. The event concluded with the National Anthem, marking a respectful and unifying end to the celebration. DAZZLE 2025 not only showcased the diverse talents of the students but also created an atmosphere of joy, connection, and community, leaving a memorable mark on the hearts of the new batch and setting a positive tone for their journey at JKKN College of Arts and Science.

Kumarapalayam Bypass Marathon – Golden Jubilee Celebration 🏃♀️
J.K.K. Nataraja Arts and Science College – Autonomous, organized the first-ever Kumarapalayam Bypass Marathon on Sunday, 6th April 2025, at the J.K.K.N. School Ground, Kumarapalayam, to commemorate its 50th Golden Jubilee year. The event aimed to spread awareness about water conservation and the importance of maintaining good health. The marathon began at 5:00 AM and witnessed an overwhelming response, with over 2,400 participants, including men, women, and children, taking part in the run. Popular actor Srikanth graced the occasion as the chief guest and officially inaugurated the event. Cash prizes were awarded to the top three winners, while all participants were presented with T-shirts, medals, and certificates as tokens of appreciation. The event concluded successfully with the national anthem, leaving a strong message of environmental awareness, community health, and unity.

ANTI-RAGGING AWARENESS PROGRAM
The Anti-Ragging Committee (Self-Finance) of JKKN College of Arts and Science organized an Anti-Ragging Awareness Program on 23rd June 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Senthuraja Hall . The primary objective of the event was to sensitize II and III year undergraduate students about the legal, psychological, and social consequences of ragging, while promoting a safe, inclusive, and respectful academic environment. The session aimed to address ongoing concerns related to ragging and peer harassment, despite strict laws and institutional guidelines. The chief guest for the program was Mr. R. Gowri Shankar , a respected lawyer associated with the Debt Recovery Tribunal, Coimbatore . He delivered a compelling address highlighting the legal implications of ragging, emphasizing the significance of student responsibility in cultivating a positive campus culture. His insights offered clarity on laws, penalties, and the role of students in upholding campus discipline. The event successfully enhanced student awareness of support systems, complaint redressal mechanisms, and ethical conduct. It also helped reinforce the role of the Anti-Ragging Committee in ensuring student safety and mental well-being. Feedback was collected from both students and faculty, reflecting a positive response, especially toward the legal awareness component. Although a formal review meeting was not conducted, valuable suggestions for future sessions were noted, including the introduction of peer mentorship cells and anonymous digital reporting systems. Moving forward, the committee plans to conduct similar awareness programs regularly at the beginning of each academic year, collaborate further with legal experts, and strengthen student engagement through mentorship and open communication channels. The event was effectively coordinated by Mrs. M.S. Punithamalar , and the active participation of students and staff contributed significantly to the success of the program.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION
Organized by NSS Unit, J.K.K. Nataraja College of Arts and Science (Autonomous) Date: 20th June 2025 | Time: 10:30 AM Venue: College Campus The NSS Unit of J.K.K. Nataraja College of Arts and Science (Autonomous) successfully organized a special program to observe International Yoga Day on 20th June 2025. The event aimed to raise awareness about the benefits of yoga and encourage students to incorporate yoga into their daily routine for a healthier and more balanced lifestyle. The session commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Palanisamy, NSS Programme Officer, who emphasized the need for mindfulness and physical fitness through regular yoga practice. Dr. M.P. Poonguzhali, Vice Principal, highlighted the mental and physical health benefits of yoga in her address, followed by insightful thoughts shared by the Chief Guest, Dr. T. Hemalatha, Head of the Department of Microbiology. She encouraged students to focus on holistic wellness and the importance of regular physical activity. A live yoga demonstration was conducted by Mr. N. Sowreesguhan, a student from the Department of Bachelor of Commerce., who led the participants through various yoga asanas. The session was both educational and interactive, drawing enthusiastic participation from the students. More than 50 NSS volunteers actively took part in the event, along with faculty members, NSS officers, and Heads of Departments. The event was compered by Mr. A. Kumar, Assistant Professor of Tamil, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. R. Poongodi, NSS Programme Officer. Placement Day Celebration 2025
JKK Nattraja Institutions celebrated its Placement Day 2025 on April 25 at Vibrant Arangam, organized by the Career Development Center. The event honored the placement achievements of students and fostered connections with industry professionals and alumni. Distinguished guests, including alumni such as Dr. Prakash Palanivelu (MSR Tooth Clinic Pvt. Ltd., 1996) and Dr. Jaganathan KS (Serum Institute of India Pvt. Ltd., 1998), shared insights on career development and industry expectations. National Road Safety Week
YUVA Club and NSS Units of J. K.K. Nataraja College of Arts & Science, Komarapalayam organised a programme Road Safety Awareness with regard to National Road Safety Week on 12th January, 2024 at 2.00 p.m. This event plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of responsible and safe driving, reducing accidents, and saving lives. These programs are comprehensive initiatives that aim to educate the public about the importance of adhering to traffic rules, adopting safe driving practices, and understanding the consequences of reckless behavior on the road. The event commenced in the presence of Capt. M. Nalini, Principal. Mr. T. A. Dhavamani, Inspector of Police, Komarapalayam, is the resource person who led the programme. He emphasized the importance of using Police help App. The Police Help App represents a commendable technological advancement in fostering public safety and strengthening the relationship between law enforcement and the community. The app plays a vital role in streamlining emergency response coordination. By allowing users to report incidents in real-time, it facilitates a more rapid and efficient dispatch of police resources to the location, potentially minimizing response times and improving overall public safety. He also covered a wide range of topics, including the significance of wearing seat belts, the proper use of helmets, the dangers of distracted driving, and the impact of speeding. To reinforce the key messages conveyed during the talk, educational materials such as pamphlets and brochures were also distributed among the attendees. Mr.N.Narayan Rao, Chief Operating Officer of JKKN Institution also delivered a talk on Driving awareness in hill areas. He explained the specialized driving techniques essential for hill areas such as engine braking, maintaining lower gears while descending, and the strategic use of momentum on uphill climbs were covered to enhance the audience’s understanding of effective hill driving. He also highlighted the importance of wildlife caution. Driving awareness in hill areas requires a tailored approach that addresses the unique challenges presented by the terrain. The resource person’s poignant conclusion, “Driving thrills, driving kills,” encapsulates the profound duality embedded in the act of driving. This succinct phrase serves as a powerful reminder of the exhilarating freedom and enjoyment that driving can bring, juxtaposed against the sobering reality of the inherent risks and potential consequences. Around 200 students got benefit of the program. Feedback report was collected from student participants to evaluate the overall success of the event and insights for future improvements. The expected outcomes of a National Road Safety Programme encompass a holistic approach, aiming for a significant reduction in accidents, fatalities, and injuries, while fostering a culture of responsible driving and community engagement.

The event also served as a reminder of the relevance of mathematics in our daily lives, encouraging students and professionals to explore the subject and contribute to its continuous growth. Following her talk Puzzle competition was conducted. Students from mathematics, English, Physics and Zoology participated in it. Ms. M. Kamali, II M.Sc Maths and Miss. K. Janani, II M.Sc Maths was declared as winners. Puzzle competition within the context of National Mathematics Day served as a dynamic platform to instill valuable skill, enhance their ability to analyze problems, identify patterns and apply logical reasoning to find solutions, promote mathematical thinking and celebrate the spirit of mathematics. Uniting for a Life-Saving Mission In a world where life’s unpredictability can throw us unexpected challenges, being prepared to save a life can make all the difference. On the 16th of October 2023, Yuva Club at JKK Nattraja College of Arts and Science, in collaboration with the Advanced Nursing Lab, hosted a remarkable event dedicated to “World Restart a Heart Day.” This event saw the convergence of eager young minds, driven by a shared goal – to learn and practice the invaluable art of Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Guiding Hands and Hearts: Mrs. R. Jamunarani’s Inspiring CPR Orientation The event became all the more special with the esteemed presence of Mrs. R. Jamunarani, the principal of Sresakthimayeil Institute of Nursing and Research, who graced us as the chief guest. Her experience and expertise in the field of nursing added a touch of authority and inspiration to the proceedings. As the event commenced at 10:30 AM in the Advanced Nursing Lab, Mrs. Jamunarani took the lead, providing a general CPR orientation to our enthusiastic students. This orientation session served as the foundation for the students, equipping them with the knowledge and hands-on experience required to perform CPR efficiently. The day’s focus was primarily on adult CPR techniques and the importance of performing them correctly. Mrs. Jamunarani’s guidance and expertise were instrumental in making sure our students not only understood the theory but also mastered the practical aspects of this life-saving skill. As Mrs. Jamunarani led the session, students were introduced to the critical steps involved in CPR. From assessing the situation and calling for help to performing chest compressions and providing rescue breaths, every detail was covered. It was an interactive session, with students eagerly participating and asking questions, demonstrating their commitment to learning this vital skill. By the end of the session, our students not only had the knowledge but also the confidence to perform CPR in emergency situations. They understood that their hands, guided by the heart’s desire to save a life, could be the difference between tragedy and hope. The event was a stepping stone towards a brighter, safer future, where these students can be the first responders in times of need.

International Day For The Girl Child
YUVA club of J. K.K. Nataraja College of Arts & Science, Komarapalayam conducted an awareness program for Girls on 11th October 2023 at 2.00 PM. This program serves as a platform to raise awareness about the importance of Girl Child Day. The event commenced in the presence of Dr. Geetha, Principal-in-charge. Ms. Mownika, II Bachelor of Science Computer science, extended warm welcome to all the participants. Mrs. Janaki Subramani, Founder of Elanjie Trust Erode, is the resource person who led this program. Her talk on Girl Child Day Awareness Program was a resounding success, generating substantial awareness and support for girls’ empowerment. It served as a reminder that gender equality is not just a goal but a necessity for the progress of our community. We look forward to future initiatives that further promote the rights and well-being of girls. Ms. Swetha , II Bachelor of Science computer science extended heartfelt gratitude to student participants and the staff members. It was an interactive session too and around 130 students got benefit of the program. Feedback report was collected from student participants to evaluate the overall success of the event and insights for future improvements. The program came to an end with National Anthem.

The Digital Revolution in Education: Essay Competition In the afternoon, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, another group of about 20 students gathered at the Senthuraja Hall to take part in the Essay Competition. The chosen topic, “Role of Digital Technology in Today’s Modern Education,” allowed these budding writers to explore the impact of digital technology on the educational landscape. Their essays offered fresh perspectives on how digital tools and platforms are transforming the way we learn, teach, and engage with knowledge. The competition not only honed their essay-writing skills but also encouraged them to contemplate the present and future of education. NSS Day Celebration
NSS Day Celebration J.K.K. Nataraja College of Arts and Science, Komarapalayam, marked National Service Scheme (NSS) Day on September 24, 2025, with a series of activities promoting community service and social awareness. Activities: Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue Quiz : A mega drive was organized, engaging NSS programme officers and faculty members in a quiz that fostered dialogue on national development. Drawing Competition : Students participated in a drawing competition themed “மீண்டும் மஞ்சப்பை! வேண்டாம் பிளாஸ்டிக் பை!!” or “Back to Cloth Bags! No to Plastic Bags!!”, promoting eco-friendly practices and raising awareness about plastic bag usage. Objective: The event aimed to instill a sense of social responsibility, volunteerism, and community development among students, while highlighting the importance of sustainable practices. Outcome: The celebration provided a platform for students to express their creativity, develop their skills, and contribute to the betterment of society. By participating in such initiatives, students embody the NSS motto of “Not Me But You,” demonstrating their commitment to community service and social awareness.

Bridge Course Event For All The First Year
In our J.K.K.Nataraja College of Arts & Science, Computer Science Department organised the Bridge course event for all the first year students belonging to the same department from 18-07-2023 to 20-07-2023 at Senthurraja Hall in our college campus. The function started with a Prayer song by our First year students Miss. N. Girja, M. Lalitha, S. Mehanthana, M. Sharmila and C. Hema. Mr.B.N. Dhanasekaran, Head of the Department, Department of Computer Science, gave the welcome address to the gathering. He also urges the students as they progress to higher levels of education, ensuring they have the foundational knowledge and skills needed for their future studies. Dr.V.R. Parameswari, Dean, J.K.K.Nataraja College of Arts & Science, rendered the special address to the first year students. She insisted that the bridge course will serve as a platform to reinforce fundamental concepts and provide a deeper understanding of subjects that are essential for the upcoming academic journey. Through interactive sessions, hands-on activities, and personalised guidance, our students will have the opportunity to strengthen their academic prowess and build the confidence needed to excel in their chosen fields. In this program computer science department faculties took many topics like Recent Trends, Number System & Microprocessor, Programming Languages, HTML, Database Management Systems, Python Programming, Data Structures & Algorithms, Activity work and Talent Shows. More than 200 students actively participated in the Bridge Course session. Finally Mrs. N. Umadevi, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, rendered the vote of thanks. The function came to an end with the National Anthem.

Chess Competition With Regard To World Chess Day
YUVA club of J.K.K. Nataraja College of Arts and Science, Komarapalayam organised a Chess Competition with regard to World Chess Day on 20th July at 11:00am. The event commenced in the presence of our Dean mam, Dr. V.R. Parameswari and Dr. R. Jamunarani, Principal, J.K.K.N College of Nursing and Research. After the formal welcome, the resource person explained the rules to be followed throughout the competition. The event served as a platform for players to test their skill, learn from one another, and foster a sense of community within the chess fraternity. Around 56 students from JKKN Dental College and Hospital, J.K.K.N College of Nursing and Research, JKKN College of Pharmacy participated in this competition. In the nail-biting final match, S. Jayasurya II MSc Chemistry from J.K.K. Nataraja College of Arts and Science emerged as the winner and R. Thirumurukash III BDS from JKKN Dental College and Hospital was recognized as runner in boys team. In Girl’s team, M.Chitrapriya, I BDS emerged as the winner and S.Kalaivani, I BDS from JKKN Dental College and Hospital was recognized as runner. All the participants were honored for their outstanding performances and every player received an e-certificate to acknowledge their contribution to the Chess Day celebration. Feedback report was collected from student participants to evaluate the overall success of the event and insights for future improvements. The program came to an end with national anthem.

JKK Nataraja College of Arts and Science, First Year Students Commencement Ceremony was held on 03.07.2023 at 10 am in the college campus auditorium. First year undergraduate students participated in the inauguration ceremony. Niranjana and Sripriya, third year students of Commerce Department, sang a devotional song at the dedication ceremony.And the ceremony started off with the lighting of the lamp. Mrs. S.Mangaiyakarasi, principal of the college, gave the welcome speech. Dr. S. Uma, Head of Tamil department addressed the students. Selvan R. Pugahendi, Ex-Man, Department of Computer Science, Selvan D. Mutharasan, third year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) student,Selvan P.Sujith, second year student of commerce department, second year student of commerce department Ms. T. Tamilashvi, second year student of English department Ms. M. Jayashree etc. shared their experience and encouraged the first year students.
