The School of Computing (CS, BCA, AI&DS and Cyber Security), J.K.K Nataraja College of Arts & Science (Autonomous) – Self Finance, successfully organised a Skill Development Programme titled “Code Today, Lead Tomorrow” on 03 September 2026 at Senthuraja Hall. The programme was conducted in an in-person training mode with the objective of enhancing learners’ programming and technical skills, logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, career awareness and industry readiness. The programme aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations by providing learners with practical insights and professional guidance from an experienced industry expert.

The session was delivered by Mr. Prakash Velayadham, Founder & CEO, CodeBuilders Pvt. Ltd., Pondicherry, an experienced Industry Expert and Corporate Trainer. He shared valuable insights into the practical application of programming and technology in the professional environment. His session focused on the importance of coding skills, practical approaches to programming, logical and analytical thinking, industry-oriented technical skills, continuous learning and upskilling, emerging career opportunities in the IT sector, and the expectations of employers from fresh graduates. He also emphasised the importance of communication, teamwork, leadership, innovation and problem-solving skills for becoming successful and industry-ready professionals.

Learners from the School of Computing, including Computer Science, BCA, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, and Cyber Security, participated enthusiastically in the programme. The interactive session provided learners with an opportunity to engage directly with the resource person, raise questions and clarify their doubts related to coding, technical skills, career development and industry expectations. The practical guidance and real-world perspectives shared during the programme helped learners gain a better understanding of the skills and competencies required to succeed in the technology industry.

The programme successfully created awareness among learners about the importance of technical and professional skills in achieving career success. The learners gained better awareness of industry requirements, practical understanding of coding and problem-solving, motivation to improve their programming skills, and awareness of emerging career opportunities. The programme also encouraged learners to continuously upgrade their knowledge, develop a growth-oriented mindset and take responsibility for their professional development.

The “Code Today, Lead Tomorrow” – Skill Development Programme was successfully completed with active participation from learners and faculty members.
