The Department of Textile and Fashion Designing at JKKNCAS celebrated International Saree Day on December 20, 2024, with great enthusiasm and participation. As part of the celebration, a speech competition titled “My Saree, My Pride” was conducted for female students across all departments. The winner of the competition was M. Jayasree from III B.A. English, and the runner-up was D. Pradeepa from III B.Sc. Textile and Fashion Designing.
The event was graced by the presence of girl students and female faculty members, who radiated elegance and beauty in their sarees, making the day truly memorable. For all participants, the saree symbolized more than just a piece of clothing—it is an emotion that embodies tradition, grace, and pride.
